Anti-reflective glass

Although horticultural glass transmits most of the incoming light, some of the light is also absorbed and reflected by the glass. An anti-reflective treatment can reduce light reflection and improve the light transmission of the glass. Higher light transmission leads to increased crop production.

An anti-reflective treatment can be applied by coating or by chemical etching. The coating can be applied to one or both sides of the glass. Glass with an anti-reflective coating is always tempered. Etching is always done on both sides. Etched anti-reflective glass can be either tempered or non-tempered.
